* Aaliyah ( means 'the highest' in suahili language) appeared on music scene when she was 15 years old.
* Aaliyah's mother discovered her talet
* Aaliyah moved to Detroit from Brooklyn when she was five.
* When she was five she played in many performances in her school
* At the age of 9 she starred in TV show Family Matters
* She appeared in US Show - Star Search (she was 11). At that time she took part in Gladys Knight's performances in Las Vegas.
* In 1993 she recorded her first album 'Age Ain't Nothing But A Number'.
* 31 sierpnia 1994r. - SCANDAL - (we don't know if it's truth or not) Aaliyah and R.Kelly got married - they said that it was a rumor.
* In 1996 Aaliyah recorded her 2nd CD - 'One in a million' (she was working with Timbaland).
,,After I recorded 'One In A Million, I got a break. -
I needed some time for resting and thinking about my next album
It took me a little bit longer than I thought, because of
'Romeo Must Die' but I took part in this kind of projects to be remembered."
* Aaliyah appeared in Elton John's musical AIDA
* She recorded a song on 'Anastacia' soundtrack, and she was nominated to an Academy Award.
* She had her own collection of clothes ( Tommy Hillfiger).
* In 2000 she played Trish in 'Romeo Must Die'. She also recorded 4 songs for it's soundtrack. This album had been bought by 1,5 million people.
* In 2001 she recorded her 3rd album 'Aaliyah' - she was still woking with Timbaland.
